By inviting LinguaLink to your Discord server or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our bot.
2. Description of Service
LinguaLink is a Discord bot that provides real-time translation services for Discord messages. The bot automatically detects and translates messages across 22 supported languages.

- Automatic language detection and translation
- Support for 22 languages and 7 writing systems
- Gaming terminology preservation
- Discord emoji and URL preservation
3. Use of Service
3.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use LinguaLink only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the service to transmit harmful, threatening, abusive, or illegal content
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the bot
- Use the service to spam, harass, or harm other users
- Attempt to overload or disrupt the service infrastructure
- Use the service to violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
3.2 Server Administrator Responsibilities
Server administrators who invite LinguaLink are responsible for:
- Ensuring server members are aware the bot provides translation services
- Complying with applicable data protection laws
- Managing bot permissions appropriately
4. Free and Premium Services
4.1 Free Tier
The free tier includes:
- 5 languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese)
- 1,000 translations per day per server
- Standard response time (<2 seconds)
4.2 Premium Tier
Premium subscriptions provide:
- All 22 supported languages
- Unlimited translations
- Priority translation speed (<1 second)
- Custom gaming glossary
Payment Terms: Premium subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial months.
5. Privacy and Data
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
5.1 Message Processing
- Messages are processed in real-time for translation
- We do not store message content after translation
- Translation is performed on our self-hosted infrastructure
- No message data is sent to third-party services
6. Intellectual Property
The LinguaLink bot, including its code, design, and branding, is the intellectual property of its creators. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or redistribute the bot's code
- Use our branding or trademarks without permission
- Claim ownership of the service
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
LinguaLink is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Translation accuracy (automated translation is not perfect)
- Service availability (we strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee it)
- Fitness for a particular purpose
Important: Automated translation may contain errors. Do not rely on LinguaLink translations for critical communications, legal documents, or medical information.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LinguaLink and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Service interruptions or errors
- Mistranslations or misunderstandings resulting from translation errors
9. Service Modifications and Termination
9.1 Service Changes
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the service at any time
- Change pricing for premium features with 30 days notice
- Update these Terms of Service (changes will be posted here)
9.2 Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to LinguaLink if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- You violate Discord's Terms of Service
- Your use of the service poses a security risk
- You engage in abusive behavior

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
